Season 2 Ep 1: The Reset is not a Weakness: Its a Strategy
===
[00:00:00] Hey, you are listening to Baseline and Boundaries, the Mindset Revolution, and in this season we're hitting the reset. I'm Dr. Tamika Scott, your executive mindset coach, entrepreneur, and your go-to for real talk on what it actually takes. To lead with confidence, clarity, and calmness in every room you step into.
So if you are out here doing everything right, but still feel stuck sometimes in self-doubt, second guessing, or maybe just straight up tired while this season is for you, let's reset our mindsets and reclaim our power because the person you are becoming deserves it. Let's go.
Hey y'all. Welcome back to Baseline and Boundaries, the Mindset Revolution. Season two. The [00:01:00] reset.
If you're a leader, a doer, or someone who is used to being on the go for someone else, everyone else this season is for you Today. I wanna start with the truth that I've been reminded of myself over and over again. Your need to reset is not a weakness. It's a powerful strategy. Let me say that again. For the people in the back, resetting mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically is not a sign that something is wrong with you.
It's a sign that you are aware enough to pause before pushing forward. That's what we're unpacking today. All right, so let's get one thing straight. Your mind is doing exactly what it was designed to do
when it offers up fear, hesitation, or even straight up nonsense, what I like to call mind [00:02:00] drama. It's those thoughts like, you are not ready, you don't belong in this room. What if they find out?
What if they find you out and find out you don't have it all together? Does any of that sound familiar? That doesn't mean that you're broken. It means that you're a human. Our brains are wired to keep us safe, predictable, cautious, and in some spaces small, but leadership, growth, expansion. That stuff requires you to reset your relationships with those thoughts.
Now, last season we dug deep. We talked about breaking up with self-sabotaging, redefining our self-worth, and letting go of beliefs. That success means that we need to be constantly in movement. We've asked some hard questions like, can your positive thoughts stand on their own? Do you trust the compliments you receive or do you deflect them?
And what does it [00:03:00] really mean to redefine success beyond the concept of starting over? What I learned from these episodes and from all of you who've shared, is that the most powerful shift doesn't happen in the hustle and bustle. It actually happens in the pause. They happen in the reset. So this season we're gonna go even deeper.
We're gonna explore the Let Them Theory from Mel Robbins. If you haven't gotten that book, you need to go get it, what it means to release control. We're gonna reflect on, of course, my Forever First Lady, Michelle Obama and her quietness to serve as an example. We're gonna talk about what do you do when grief hits mid goal.
And how to lead without letting your thoughts lead you. These episodes are gonna be straight to the point. They're gonna unpack bold truths, offer some tools and real time reset opportunities that we can use [00:04:00] right away.
So here's your official invitation. Take a breath. Un cleanse your draw, lower your shoulders. This is your space to pause, to reflect, to reimagine what success looks like from a place of ease, clarity, and power.
You deserve more than burnout. You deserve to lead from a mindset that honors your brilliance and not just your busyness.
